If you’re renting, you’ve probably heard that buying just isn’t affordable right now. But the reality is, affordability is starting to return in many parts of the country. In a growing number of counties, it’s more affordable to buy than rent a 3-bedroom home (even with factoring in insurance and typical maintenance costs).

And after years of feeling priced out of buying, that’s a really good thing. But some regions are rebounding faster than others.
